SOUTH Africans are disappointed by the nuisance caused by Toyota SA. Toyota are most trusted cars particularly by the state.

If you can take a closer look, the vehicles used by government officials are Toyota's. Even our taxi industry chooses Toyota minibuses.

It is distressing to read in newspapers and magazines about how Toyota has been disloyal to its customers. I am sure there should be proper inspection after a vehicle has been manufactured.

Toyota needs to set up an internal investigation to establish the cause of this particular defect, otherwise next time it will lose business.

We are heading for the 2010 World Cup and this is the last thing we need right now because our visitors will be transported in Toyota vehicles to and from their destinations.

I urge fellow South Africans not to panic since the Toyota president has made a promise that the problem will be fixed for free .

But this should not have happened in the first place.
