"It's no longer a dream for us to qualify for the MTN8," said captain Duncan "The King" Lechesa after the battle of the Stars at Moruleng Stadium on Saturday.
"We are happy that we are no longer in the bottom of the league. The emphatic win over Platinum Stars is what the doctor ordered, there is no turning back, the good thing is that we have also regained our appetite."
Ea Lla Koto made their intentions clear as early as the fifth minute when Zimbabwe international Kingston Nkhatha opened the scoring.
Replacing Nkhatha in the second half, Manti Moholo, increased the lead in the 59th minute with his first touch after a defence splitting pass from hard-working Aleni Lebyane.
Seven minutes later, Moholo completed his brace, beating goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini.
"We need to continue fighting in the remaining three games to secure a respectful position for ourselves at the end of the season," said Stars chairman Mike Mokoena.
Ea Lla Koto's Luis Ranteira was sent off by referee Peter Mabuza for retaliating to a foul from Ayanda Gcaba.
Dinaledi were without most of their senior players, including captain Stanley Kgatla, Oscar Ntwagae, Lefa Mogaila and Godfrey Sapula. Coach Steve Komphela described the defeat as one of those games where they were unlucky.
