THE National Education, Health and Allied Workers Union in Limpopo has suspended its strike at the University of Venda after workers and management reached agreement.
The parties have agreed to reconcile the modified working conditions of the emplo-yees.
Workers downed tools for three days demanding that management reverse a decision to change their conditions of employment without consulting Nehawu.
The three-day strike ended on Tuesday after the union and management agreed to go back to the drawing board over workers' benefits that were terminated
The university had discontinued housing, car and other allowances without consulting the union.
Nehawu provincial chairperson Michael Shingange said they suspended the strike because management had agreed to start negotiating with the workers.
University spokesperson Takalani Dzaga said they had interdicted workers because the strike was illegal, a claim dismissed by Singange.
Dzaga added that lessons on the campus resumed yesterday while negotiations were being conducted.
