IF you are around the north of Pretoria this weekend and in a loving mood, it would not be a bad idea to spend quality time with your loved one at the Carousel and Entertainment Centre.

IF you are around the north of Pretoria this weekend and in a loving mood, it would not be a bad idea to spend quality time with your loved one at the Carousel and Entertainment Centre.

South African guitar virtuoso Trevor Nasser will be adding a little something special to the romantic ambience of the Carousel Casino Hotel this Valentine's Day as he serenades guests at breakfast.

The legendary guitarist, a household name since the 1980s, recently released a new album entitled Blouberg se Strand featuring 19 tracks including Funiculi Funicula, Sprokie vir 'n Stadskind, Pampoen and Kinders Van Die Wind - all delivered in his own inimitable style.

After picking up a mandolin for the first time, aged just eight, Nasser has never looked back. His love affair with guitars has helped him deliver masterpiece after masterpiece and his unique understanding of the inner intricacies of songs draws listeners in like no other performer.

Nasser will be performing for guests visiting the Carousel Casino Hotel from 8am to 11am on February 14. The show is free of charge.

If you are looking to celebrate the month of love with someone special, why not visit the Carousel's Nickelodeon Bar to enjoy Love Is In The Air, a romantic tribute show which is guaranteed to get hearts fluttering.

However, what will be interesting for young people will probably be the talented foursome of performers - TV and theatre star Craig Urbani, member Given Mabena of Afro Tenor and theatre and recording stars Clayton Stewart and Candice Leigh - who will serenade the night away on February 12 and 13 with greatest love songs.
