COSATU is pushing to have a say in how Minister in the Presidency Trevor Manuel formulates his national planning commission.

Yesterday Cosatu announced a list of 13 people it wants on the commission.

President Jacob Zuma has pinned the success of his government's R787billion infrastructure investment on the ability of the NPC to pull various departments into following a common developmental strategy.

Cosatu spokesperson Patrick Craven said the labour federation would lobby its partners and ordinary South Africans to rally behind its nominated candidates. - Zukile Majova
