A former SABC sport presenter has dissed her ex-boyfriend, former Orlando Pirates captain Lucky Lekgwathi, on Facebook after he allegedly refused to pay medical expenses for their daughter.
According to XolelwaMajeke's Facebook status, Lekgwathi, a decorated defender who also played for Bafana Bafana, has been neglecting his daughter's health.
Majeke's posting read: "Xolelwa Myrtle Majeke wants 2 share a shockin' (sic) story with y'all (sic). I told da gr8 Lucky Lekgwathi gore ngwana wa kula (child is ill) and he said, "he's family's also sick" ... so mandimehle (let me leave him alone).
"Thing is, medical expenses of little miss is his responsibility and I've been begging for a new medical aid card for months."
Majeke continued: "He left it with his mama and I must go and fetch it he says. LMAO! Ja, neh ... kuyanyiwa in single-mamadom (its not easy being a single mother)!"
The comment received mixed reactions from her on-line friends, some of whom asked if Majeke would be hurt if the comment was quoted in a Sunday tabloid, or was the issue to be shared only on Facebook. Majeke replied "been there, done that".
Lekgwathi was not spared insults by Majeke's friends, with some calling him a lunatic who needs to be booked into a mental institution.
"Sis' Xoli, take that a***e to maintenance court or scratch his car," one said.
Friends also encouraged Majeke to be strong and not to worry about being a single mother.
The two made headlines in 2008 when it was reported that Lekgwathi was refusing to pay child support for their daughter.
Lekgwathi did not answer his phone or respond to the voice messages left for him.
