SOUTH Africa's net gold and foreign exchange reserves fell to $38,63billion at the end of January from $38,960billion in December, official data showed on Friday.

SOUTH Africa's net gold and foreign exchange reserves fell to $38,63billion at the end of January from $38,960billion in December, official data showed on Friday.

Gross reserves stood at $39,489billion in January from $39,706billion, the central bank said.

Currency reserves were down by $124million to $32,351billion while gold reserves fell $83million to $4,355billion. - Reuters
