Xaba will be missed for his kindness

ALBERT "Mzitho" Xaba died last week after a short illness.

He was born on June 20 1960 to Mfihli and Limakatso Xaba in Soweto. He had his basic education at Litau Primary School and later at Thabo High School.

Xaba lost his parents at a young age and was forced to leave school and join the working world. He worked at various jobs that built his personality, business acumen and resilience.

Xaba formed his own company and became a building contractor. He was a founder member and director of Mvukuzane Investment Group, and also ran Banyenyetsi construction. He was the mastermind behind the success of the two businesses.

He married Fikile Sehale in 1996 and they had two children, Limakatso and Thabo.

Xaba called everyone he met Mzitho (cousin) until it became his nickname. He was a people's person and made friends easily.

He was a beacon of hope and success to his family and friends, who he helped generously in every way. Xaba was also humble, unassuming and always ready to help in his community.

He leaves behind his widow Fikile, brother Ola, and his two children. He will be buried at Kromvlei Cemetery in Alberton on Saturday at 10am.

The service will be held at the local Catholic church in Liefde and Vrede at 8am. Hamba Kahle Xaba.
