Wenger has now lost the plot

THAT'S it, Arsene Wenger, you've lost the plot! You have done well only as far as the board of directors is concerned. Save, sell, save.

THAT'S it, Arsene Wenger, you've lost the plot! You have done well only as far as the board of directors is concerned. Save, sell, save.

Arsenal's supporters are feeling hard done by, especially since you have not shown any resolve in acquiring reputable strikers.

Why do clubs in debt continue to bolster their squads but you remain steadfast in pushing the directors' agenda of simply balancing the books.

Cesc Fabregas and Andrei Arshavin have already voiced their concerns about the lack of a target man in the team. Arsenal is one of the few UK teams that are in good financial standing but you continue to save.

I suppose you are saving your job. Imagine the prospect of selling Fabregas to either Barcelona or Real Madrid. Should Fabregas leave for about $70million (about R524million) you will have fulfilled your mandate from the club's capitalist directors - save, sell, save - but still win a cup.

I doubt if that last aim is now possible. The fact that the team has not had the same players for more than two years suggests you don't want to compete with other clubs over wages.

It is now five years since Arsenal tasted victory at the podium.

Last week you decided to use the second-string team in the FA Cup (your last hope of a cup) against Stoke City - and ended up giving us a feeble reason about having to do that because of the important forthcoming games after Arsenal lost.

Arsenal might be comparable to Barcelona in offensive play but they also have a target man!
