SANTOS staged a dramatic come-back to earn a valuable point against Free State Stars in a tight Absa Premiership League outing played at Charles Mopeli Stadium yesterday.

The two sides drew 3-all in this game of missed opportunities. Stars' goals came from Aleni Lebyane and Fabio Costa Morinho, while Ricardo Skippers scored an own goal.

Santos' scorers were Erwin Isaacs and Phikolethu Speelman, who struck a brace.

The home-side surprised the visitors when Lebyane scored within just nine seconds of the first half, beating goalie Tshepo Motsoeneng after receiving a pass from Tebelo Mofokeng.

Stars increased their lead through Morinho in the 48th minute. However, Ea Lla Koto went to sleep after scoring the second goal, and the visitors immediately reduced the deficit two minutes later through Isaacs.

Stars got their third goal in the 81st minute, thanks to Skippers.

However, Speelman came off the bench and netted a brace in the 83rd and 90th minutes.
