A NOTORIOUS armed robber, who has escaped from custody. has several policemen on his hit list.
The Gauteng police have appealed to the public to help them arrest the man before he executes his plans.
They say Thomas Madonsela has committed numerous armed robberies and is wanted in KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga and Gauteng.
Mpumalanga police spokesperson Captain Leonard Hlathi said: "The police are looking for him high and low. He escaped from Middelburg police custody early this year.
SA Can managing director Brian Joes said: "The suspect has a hit list of the police officials who arrested him in the past. He must be considered armed an dangerous.
SA Can is a Durban non-governmental organisation dedicated to fighting crime.
Jones said Madonsela also recently threatened a member of the Flying Squad.
"Madonsela is involved in business and house robberies."
He said Madonsela was sought by the police for crimes he committed in Soweto, Malelane, Middelburg, Nelspruit, Secunda, and Evander in Mpumalanga, as well as in Louis Trichardt in Limpopo.
Jones said Madonsela had escaped six times from police custody. He said the police believed Madonsela was hiding in Centurion, Pretoria, where his girlfriend lives.
