MEXICO CITY - Doctors treating Paraguay football star Salvador Cabanas, pictured, say he has spoken to family members, the best sign of recovery since being shot in the head on Monday in a Mexico City bar.
Dr Ernesto Martinez said on Saturday Cabanas recognised family members and officials from his club.
Cabanas, of Paraguay and Club America, was shot in the head at point-blank range. The suspect, Jose J Balderas Garza, identified on a surveillance camera, has not been detained. - Sapa-AP
