"We have no doubt that South Africa will silence many doubting Thomases and host a successful tournament," said South Korea's ambassador to South Africa, Han Soo Kim.
He was speaking at the Global Hyundai Goodwill Ball roadshow in Sandton, Johannesburg, yesterday.
The project aims to send messages of goodwill to the 32 World Cup participating nations inscribed on giant Hyundai Goodwill Balls.
The function was attended by soccer icon Jomo Sono.
Kim's support comes while South Africa is under siege from people who have been constantly questioning the country's ability to host the World Cup.
South Africa's enemies based their arguments on the attack on the Togo national team's bus in Angola earlier this month, on the eve of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The latest attack on South Africa has come from Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness of Germany, who said Fifa made a terrible mistake by bringing the World Cup to South Africa.
Brazil's Pele has also joined the chorus of those complaining about security in South Africa, which has been dismissed by the likes of ANC Youth League president Julius Malema.
South Korea co-hosted this quadrennial soccer spectacle with Japan in 2002, which was described as a roaring success by Fifa.
"We co-hosted the World Cup in 2002, we are talking from experience that it's going to be a great event too here in South Africa," said Kim.
"Let us stand together and we will enjoy the World Cup.
The World Cup will be recorded as one of the most successful World Cup finals in history."
