MAMELODI Sundowns, who have been deemed SuperSport United's real title rivals, have been busy preparing for the final hurdle in the championship race.

The Brazilians registered a morale-boosting 4-0 victory over Jomo Cosmos on Sunday at Super Stadium. They are reported to be sweating up a storm getting ready for the resumption of the league campaign with a home tie against Bloemfontein Celtic on February 3.

Spokesperson Alex Shakoane said: "We are very excited that we managed to beat Cosmos without nine of our regular players who are on national duty."

The Brazilians will want to carry on with the same form that saw them win all of their matches in December and reduce the gap between themselves and leaders SuperSport United to just three points with a game in hand.
