THE Soweto derby featuring Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs will be played at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on February 20.

The venue and dates are part of the revised fixtures released by the league after an agreement was reached with Safa to end the season on March 6.

The changes were done in order to enable Bafana Bafana coach Carlos Alberto Parreira to travel with all the locally based players who will be selected for intensive training camps in Brazil and Germany in March and April.

The announcement that the derby will be played in Orlando ends speculation about the possibility of the popular fixture being played at the upgraded Soccer City, the venue for the 2010 World Cup opening and closing matches.

Soccer City will only be ready late in March.

The 2009-10 Absa Premiership season will end on March 6 and no longer on February 28 as was scheduled.

The Buccaneers are hosting the second-round match after their first- round tie ended in a goalless draw at the same venue on October 31.
