In addition she runs a TV presentation course and does charity work.
A recent campaign she organised to raise awareness for breast cancer landed her in the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records.
The campaign, in support of the nonprofit organisation Pink Link, garnered the award for bringing together the greatest number of bikini-clad girls in one spot at one time.
Matheba's love for TV began when she was 14.
"It seemed that the people on TV were not doing their jobs right. Something was missing, so I did a TV presentation course and went for auditions," she says.
At 16 Matheba was selected to present a slew of children's shows. When she was 18 she began presenting the music and lifestyle show Live on SABC1.
"Live was an awesome opportunity because I didn't want to be trapped in doing kiddies' shows," she says.
One of the many opportunities she grabbed was to present Kaizer Chiefs TV, which airs on the last Thursday of the month on SuperSport 4. She also plays as a striker for the Kaizer Chiefs celebrity team.
Aspirant TV presenters will be glad to know that Matheba runs a TV presentation course with On Cue Communication.
"Students are taught how to do presenting, get taken behind the scenes and when they graduate are signed to an agency."
How does Matheba take care of herself amid her hectic schedule? One of the things she refuses to compromise on is her skin.
"I hate being in the sun. I use a lot of sunscreen and occasionally use tissue oil."
She helps us discover which tissue oil works the hardest to make sure she looks good when she plays hard. First, she tries Johnson and Johnson's tissue oil. "It smells nice and 'girly'.
Zam-Buk's multipurpose body oil does not win her over. " It has that distinct Zam-Buk smell. I would put it on when I know I'm going to bed alone."
Then she tries Skin Free tissue oil. "It has a good, light texture. It is absorbed easily by the skin and has a fresh, clean smell."
Next is the popular Bio Oil, followed by Skin Clinic's tissue oil. "Bio Oil is the original tissue oil I grew up using. It smells medicinal and it has a thick texture."
