Moeleso's passing is not only a loss to his and extended family, community and friends, but also a loss to the Black Consciousness Movement.
In his early youth, Moeleso cut his political teeth in the struggle against apartheid and black oppression.
He was active in and around Regina Mundi Church, an institution that epitomised a beacon of hope, determination, selfless solidarity and ultimate resilience against unbridled oppression.
He was an irrepressible socialist firebrand and fearlessly espoused the principles of black consciousness in Azasm and Azasco.
He was also a founder-member of the Socialist Party of Azania (Sopa) and its youth wing Socialist Azanian Youth Revolutionary Organisation.
He represented Sopa at international workers' forums abroad and was also the secretary of Azasm.
He is survived by his mother, three siblings, his fianceé Thandeka and a son.
Moeleso will be buried tomorrow after the funeral service to be held at the Tshiawelo Community Centre in Soweto at 8am.
