ANC must respect our national anthem

I WAS disappointed by the way the national anthem was sung at the ANC's 98th birthday rally in Kimberley recently.

Not singing both the English and Afrikaans versions was a step back, especially on national television.

My friend Ras Dumisani at the Springbok tour in France sang his own version of the national anthem and was rightfully hauled over the coals by the media as well as everybody else.

The January 8th statement is of national interest and so is the national anthem.

Comrades, please let's respect all our assets the way we protected the protea emblem.
