Fun lovers to bid farewell to 2009 jolling in grand style

The events will give fun lovers a chance to bid 2009 farewell in style. Most start today and end on January 1.

Kicking off the fun is the First Annual Sdudla Mix today at Algoa Racecourse in Walmer, Port Elizabeth.

With 17 DJs and six performing artistes on the bill, fun lovers will party until they drop. Artistes lined up include Big NUZ, Thebe, Spikiri with local performers like Purari, Phakes and Laz Makaz. Disc jugglers include Oskido, Fresh, Vinny da Vinci, Tira, Sox, Siyanda, Cleo, Roger Goode, Euphonik, Mahoota vs Vetkuk, Slyso, Shane, Morne, Mthi, Gees Pot and Jay-B.

Tickets are available at Computicket and Shoprite-Checkers nationwide for only R80 and R150 for the limited VIP area.

In Joburg the annual Joburg Carnival will be taking place again tomorrow. Now in its fourth year, this vibrant event celebrates the best of Jozi spirit, energy and creativity.

Various carnival troupes, choirs and bands will assemble in Kotze Street, Hillbrow, before embarking on a parade on December 31.

This year's carnival procession will start at the corner of Ameshoff and Bertha streets in Braamfontein at noon and will then slowly make its way down Bertha Street, over the Nelson Mandela Bridge, into Carr Street in Newtown, and then into Miriam Makeba Street, finishing off at Newtown Park, where the event will culminate in festivities including dances.

A mother of all parties, 24-hours New Year Eve Party is taking place at Cafe Mogambo, Matsapa, Swaziland, from tomorrow until Friday. The deejays include Rough Gum, Christos, Vinni da Vinci, Tira, Sdunkero, Kanunu and Andy X. Tickets will go at R150 at Computicket and R200 at the gate.

In Mpumalanga the Woza 2010 Picnic by the Dam will be rocking on Prinsloo Street, Bronkhorstspruit CBD, East of Pretoria.

The event starts tomorrow and will continue until 10pm on January 1. Artistes who will rock funs are Queen Elizabeth, Lindo, Thandi Khiva, Megabyte and Ashaan.

DJs that will be spinning the discs for the occasion are Lady T, Vusi K, Mabenzini, Jabu, Zonke, Benji.

Admission is only R30.

In Soweto, the Ndofaya Annual Party will take place on January 1 at Zone 2 Park in Meadowlands from 4pm. DJs lined up for this event include Mthi (Tokzen), Master Ganyani, DOC, Socks, Ryno and performers are Spikiri and Skhokho.

Admission is free.

People who don't want to got out can still have fun at home since Chanel O will bring the entertainment to their living rooms.

The channel has a 16-hour Celebrity Lower Level Basement party on New Year's eve. Deejays Kenzero, Euphonik, Shy Shy Shylon, Zinhle, Milkshake, Kagiso Milkshake, Pierre will be spinning live on Channel O from 8am until midnight.
