EASTERN Cape-born gospel sensation Mqondiso Ngxukumeshe has qualities of a star.

EASTERN Cape-born gospel sensation Mqondiso Ngxukumeshe has qualities of a star.

The gospel singer from Ngqamakhwe has just released his second solo album Thel'umoya.

With the album, the singer is giving musicians such as Lusanda Mcinga competition.

The new release is packed with gorgeously arranged originals and some of the traditional gospel songs.

The album will definitely soothe your wounded heart. Thel'umoya gives an anointed experience of prayer, praise and worship that brings the church right into your home.

The album has given Ngxukumeshe a chance to showcase his vocal skills.

"The album is about me Mqondiso. It's about my background and journey in this industry."

Dished in Xhosa, the 10-track album gives hope about life to those who have lost it.

"I'm saying whatever happens in your life does not mean it is the end of the world. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Just put your trust in Him."

To many, Ngxukumeshe's name does not ring a bell but the vocally talented singer has been in the industry for more than a decade.

He started singing professionally in 1997 when he joined the award-winning Eastern Cape gospel singer Lusanda Mcinga with her Spiritual Group.

He worked with Mcinga until 2007 when he decided to go solo. His first solo project was released in 2007 called Imithandazo.
