Cup beckons for Amajita

HISTORY beckons for Amajita, who are one game away from retaining the Metropolitan Cosafa Under-20 Cup.

HISTORY beckons for Amajita, who are one game away from retaining the Metropolitan Cosafa Under-20 Cup.

Their success hinges on their last game against Zambia at Dobsonville Stadium, the final of this tournament that started last week.

They booked a place in the final after beating neighbours Botswana 3-0 while Zambia defeated Madagascar by the same scoreline. Both matches took place on Sunday at Eldorado Park.

Amajita have rattled the net 14 times in only three matches.

Coach Maqsood Chenia paid tribute to captain Masibusane Zongo as the architect of Amajita's success. He said: "We are the favourites. God willing, we will win the match."

Thulani Ngcepe and Collen Zulu were in the team that took part in the Under-20 World Cup in Egypt.
