That tears it

PRESIDENT Jacob Zuma must be having nightmares at the thought of Julius Malema.

If Zuma and the ANC have been in denial, the past few days must surely be like a red signal.

The motormouth burst onto the scene by rubbishing everything and everybody who questioned Zuma or his credentials.

It would have been a comedy had his mouth not been so foul.

Now the chickens are coming home to roost for the ruling party and Zuma in particular.

Malema's outburst against one of the icons of the struggle, down-to-earth intellectual and SACP deputy general secretary Jeremy Cronin, was the pits.

Like the comrade and gentleman he is, Cronin opted not to respond in kind.

Now members of the alliance are at each other's throats like never before.

And, Zuma will require the wisdom of a Solomon to end the war that is bleeding the party no end.
