IFP leader Mangosuthu Buthelezi has conceded that the decline in the proportion of votes for the IFP was as a result of the "Zuma factor".

IFP leader Mangosuthu Buthelezi has conceded that the decline in the proportion of votes for the IFP was as a result of the "Zuma factor".

He also noted that the "ANC's chequebook politicking" was to blame for his party's dismal support.

He was speaking in Brussels on Tuesday, where he addressed an international conference.

Buthelezi also referred to the ANC having "a R200 million war chest at its disposal, while the IFP had practically nothing".- Canaan Mdletshe
