AMAJITA maintained their clean sheet in the Metropolitan-Cosafa tournament when they edged continental lightweights the Seychelles 2-1 in an evenly balanced match played at Eldorado Park Stadium yesterday.

The determined Indian Ocean islanders even had the guts to score first, captain Trevor Vibot converting a 42nd-minute penalty after he was hacked down in the 12-yard box.

After the break, Amajita were a rejuvenated side, bombarding Seychelles from left, right and centre.

It came as no surprise when Collen Zulu equalised for Amajita in the 76th minute, after a defence-splitting pass from SuperSport forward Masibusani Zongo. He was also the provider for Speed Mabaso's winner, which confirmed that Amajita are going through to the quarterfinals. - CAJ News
