Fest for a good cause

A NUMBER of festivals were hosted with the aim of improving the lives of disadvantaged people and those living with HIV-Aids. Sadly though, it has become clear that the beneficiaries are not reaping the rewards.

A NUMBER of festivals were hosted with the aim of improving the lives of disadvantaged people and those living with HIV-Aids. Sadly though, it has become clear that the beneficiaries are not reaping the rewards.

Hence The Benefit Jazz Festival In The Park that is taking place at Emalahleni in Witbank on December 13 will attempt to address the situation. Let's Share Trading, Extreme Studios and Mbuduma Entertainment, in conjunction with the Emalahleni Local Municipality, Nkangala District Municipality and Mpumalanga Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism will come together, not only to remedy the situation, but also to plough back to a community in desperate need.

Warming up the stage for romance will be Ringo Madlingozi, vernacular balladeer dynamo Ntando, Thandiswa Mazwai, Lira and Malaika.

This hot line-up is likely to leave a lasting impression on music lovers in and around the beautiful province.

"I am very excited to be given the opportunity to be part of such a good cause," says Ntando.

The group said it is determined to bring top-class entertainment to the people without fleecing them.
