That was evident yesterday at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban when the red-hot Amakhosi walloped Maritzburg United 3-1 in their Absa Premiership clash.
Yesterday's match was played in front of about 40000 fans, most of them donning the famous black and gold colours of Amakhosi.
Chiefs were a more attacking side. United keeper Shuaib Walters was called on to make a save as early as the sixth minute after being tested by Abia Nale who had been set up by Nkosinathi Nhleko.
United broke away and came close to scoring in the 21st minute but found goalie Itumeleng Khune alert to save a Fadlu Davids' shot.
Nhleko broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute following a pass from the impressive Nale.
Twelve minutes later, Musa Nyatama equalised for United after taking on two defenders before slotting home a beauty.
Chiefs brought on David Mathebula for Siphiwe Tshabalala in the second half, while United introduced Brice Aka for Rudolf Bester whose first touch hit the woodwork.
A minute later, Nhleko made space for Kaizer Motaung Junior and Jose Torrealba came on for Josta Dladla.
Jimmy Jambo restored lost joy to the Amakhosi fans when he scored the second goal in the 82nd minute, and Nale crowned his fine form with a goal four minutes later.
