TWO youngsters commemorated World Aids Day by undergoing an HIV test together.

Though they have been seeing each other for almost four years, Palesa Mokoena and her boyfriend Innocent Skosana said yesterday was the first time that they were taking an Aids test together.

Under the shade of an umbrella at Newtown's Mary Fitzgerald's Square, the couple queued outside the non-governmental organisation Right to Care's stall.

"We've tested before but not together. We are both nervous," Mokoena said.

While Skosana added: "It was important to do this together because we would love to have a baby together one day."

Right to Care consultant Xoliswa Mdingi said the organisation had tested more than 100 people since the start of the CSI HIV-Aids Expo on Monday.
