SEVENTEEN people were injured when a taxi overturned on the M4 in Durban yesterday morning, private emergency services announced.

Three of the injured were in a serious condition, with one having suffered a severe leg injury.

An eight-month-old baby was also involved in the accident but was stable.

The cause of the accident was not clear. ER24 and Netcare 911 paramedics warned motorists to expect delays on the highway as they tended to the injured. - Sapa
