TOP-flight football will once again be witnessed at the newly built Moses Mabhida Stadium this weekend.

The venue will host an Absa Premiership match between Maritzburg United and crowd-pullers Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday.

The Team of Choice, who beat AmaZulu 1-0 at this 70000-seat venue's first Premiership match on Sunday, will be hoping for a second successive win at Moses Mabhida.

United chief executive Afzal Khan said after being approached by the eThekwini municipality, and with the newly revamped Harry Gwala Stadium not yet ready, management had decided to move the game to Moses Mabhida to accommodate the huge turnout anticipated.

"The capacity at the Woodburn Stadium (their base in Pietermaritzburg) is only 10000," said Khan. "Moses Mabhida will allow us to cater for 40000 people (the limit for the match)."

Amakhosi will look to avenge the 1-0 drubbing they suffered at the hands of United.

It will also see former Chiefs coach Ernst "Mazinyo.Com" Middendorp coming face to face with his former employers for the first time since his departure in 2007. Tickets are available at Computicket and Shoprite-Checkers stores countrywide.
