Sowetan has established that the meeting took place at Safa offices in Johannesburg late yesterday.

Also present were Bafana assistant coaches Pitso Mosimane and Jairo Leal, team manager Sipho Nkumane and Safa technical director Serame Letsoaka.

Safa chief executive Raymond Hack said it was a fruitful meeting.

"I have no problem working with anyone in football, especially the assessors," Parreira said.

"In fact, I'm willing to talk to anybody for the betterment of Bafana Bafana."

Said Sono: "Now that I know what the coach is doing I am happy and this will help some of us to comment in future when we talk about Bafana Bafana.

"Previously we were not afforded such a platform hence we were seen as negative people."
