THE last Park Village truck auction of the year is expected to be a bumper one, says company spokesperson LeRoy Augustyn.

The sale is due to take place at Nasrec, Hall 9, Gates 6, 7 and 8, on Thursday, December 3, commencing at 10.30am.

"We will have one of the biggest inventories yet this year as the suppliers clear their 2009 stock - and there are bound to be some excellent deals available," adds Augustyn.

Sales this year have been well-attended by bidders from all corners of the country and further afield, and Augustyn is confident that as the 2009 calendar winds down, this pattern will continue

At this stage of proceedings with lots of inventory still being finalised, the sale will include such leading brand names as Mercedes Benz, International, DAF, Volvo, Scania, Iveco, TATA, Isuzu and Hendred.

As is customary, stock for the auction has been supplied by creditors and liquidators as well as Standard Bank Vehicle and Asset Finance and Nedbank Limited.

A feature of the sale is the high quality of stock on offer.

Augustyn says the auction will provide an excellent opportunity for the likes of transport operators, construction companies, civil engineers and general business to acquire lots at good prices in what continues to be a buyer's market.

"Business is looking up generally and the transport sector will obviously benefit. It would therefore be a good time to re-stock with additional transport capacity or indeed replace older vehicles in pursuit of lower operating costs and improved profits," he adds.
