THREE students at Walter Sisulu University in Eastern Cape have been arrested after allegedly being found with 5kg of dagga.

THREE students at Walter Sisulu University in Eastern Cape have been arrested after allegedly being found with 5kg of dagga.

The students had allegedly grown the herb at their home in Butterworth.

Police also made two unrelated arrests in connection with the discovery of pirated CDs during raids yesterday, spokesperson Jackson Manatha said.

In the first instance, a man was found with about R250000 worth of pirated gospel CDs. He is expected to appear in court today, as will the students. In the second instance, a woman was fined R1000 for possessing copied CDs. - Sapa
