TELEVISION personality Vuyo Mbuli yesterday admitted that he was found in another man's house - but not with his pants down.

But the woman Mbuli says he was visiting has denied he was at her home in Winchester Hills, Johannesburg, on Monday night.

Thabisa Nyamakazi's fiancé Pat Legwabe has laid a charge of assault against Mbuli, who "I found dressing in my girlfriend's bedroom at about 11pm on Monday".

Legwabe said he arrived home to find the main door locked. "I tried to unlock it but there was a key inside, so I called the domestic worker to open it."

As soon as the domestic worker opened the door, Nyamakazi allegedly tried to push him out.

"She was wearing a pink gown and red lingerie. I overpowered her and burst into the house," said Legwabe.

"I dashed to the bedroom and to my horror there was Mbuli putting on his shirt. Vuyo wanted to get out quickly. I tried to stop him and he hit me with a vase," he said.

Mbuli then allegedly fled.

Mbuli admitted that he was at the house, but rubbished Legwabe's claims. "I did not assault Legwabe and I do not have an affair with Thabisa."

He said Legwabe was not in "a pleasant mood" when he arrived.

"He was angry. He shouted at me, shouted at her and threw things around, including the vase," Mbuli said.

He said that he did not respond to protect his wife and family.

"People who were in the house will clear me," he said.

But Nyamakazi denied that Mbuli was at her house.

"I was with Mziwamadoda. Vuyo was not in my home. All I have is his picture," she said.

She said that Legwabe was a "bitter, professional liar".

"He sees my career growing and he is scared that he is losing me."

Inspector Xoli Mbele confirmed that a case of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm has been opened.

He said the suspect would be arrested soon "because he is well-known".
