It adopts a slightly more sophisticated and elegant approach with an attractively styled full-colour front bumper and lower airdam.
The arced tail light clusters gain a further element of differentiation by sweeping around the sides of the angular D-pillar.
This latest model is enhanced by a bright cabin and broader field of vision, thanks to the more rearward position of the windscreen pillars.
The 1,9 dCi turbodiesel engine carried over from the previous model performs well. It produces 96kW of power and torque of 300Nm.
Safety has been taken to another level such as ABS, EBD and EBA are standard.
I felt at ease with the car's rearward positioning of the windscreen pillars that provided a broader field of vision.
The seven-seat status makes this MPV more popular with women who have young children. The car would not feel at home going to the office everyday with a man sitting behind the wheel wearing a suit and tie.
Don't expect the Grand Scenic to perform like a super car as it drives like mom's car than anything else.
For R290000, it is reasonably priced considering the features and space that you get.
