AFTER defeating North Korea 1-0 in a friendly, SuperSport United plan to do the same to Maritzburg United in an Absa Premiership clash at Loftus tomorrow at 3.30pm.

North Korea are in South Africa to acclimatise themselves for the World Cup and to inspect the facilities. Matsatsantsa a Pitori's captain, Ricardo Katza, is adamant they will start the second round of the league with a bang by beating the Team of Choice, who have just welcomed coach Ernst "Mazinyo.Com" Middendorp, and consolidating their top spot on the log.

Middendorp was appointed coach after the departure of Gordon Igesund to Free State Stars.

SuperSport and Maritzburg drew 1-1 in the first round in Pietermaritzburg in August.

SuperSport go into tomorrow's game after a convincing 4-2 win over AmaZulu in their last league match two weeks ago.

Publicist David Skhosana said: "We are gearing ourselves for a tough game, Maritzburg have just appointed a great coach in Ernst.

"We are playing at home and cannot afford to drop a single point this time round. Consistency is the most important thing in order to remain on top and win a third successive Premiership title."

But midfielder Elias Ngwepe said Maritzburg were looking to redeem their image after being embarrassed 4-0 by Santos three weeks ago.

"We are looking forward to a great start under the new coach," he said.

Meanwhile on Sunday, Free State Stars welcome Bloemfontein Celtic at Charles Mopeli Stadium in what is expected to be a thriller at 3.30pm.
