A MEMBER of the South African National Defence Force yesterday made a brief appearance at Malamulele magistrate's court to face a murder charge.
Jabu Edwin Chabalala, 34, of Roadhouse Settlement outside Malamulele was arrested in connection with the murder of his wife Agnes Mmbambadzeni, 30, whose body was found near Rhulani Settlement for Mozambicans on Sunday.
Police say they found stones and a broken beer bottle next to her body.
Chabalala is attached to the 15 Sai battalion.
The case was postponed to December 1 and he was remanded.
