Amajuba elections

THE IFP and the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal will today contest four municipal by-elections. The most crucial is Newcastle for the control of Amajuba district municipality.

Wards 20 and 26 will be closely monitored . The IFP controls the district. Jabulani Ephraim Mpungose (ANC), Nhlanhla Mbatha (IFP), Vusumuzi Emmanuel Nkosi (Great Kongress of SA) and Percy Sibusiso Sithebe (South African Determined Volunteers) are standing.

Magangane Malisha Bhekiswayo (ANC), Nokuthula Fortunate Mbatha (Great Kongress), Lucky Celimpilo Gwala (IFP) and Percy Sibusiso Sithebe (Determined Volunteers) compete for Ward 26.

In KwaMbonambi, Mdengenduku Milton Zungu, (independent), Mhawukeleni Elphas Mdletshe (ANC), Mnqobokazi Dumisani Dladla (IFP) and Khulekani Mandla Mngomezulu (SA Democratic Congress) contest Ward 11. Ward 12 in Mandeni will be contested by Graham Cebolenkosi Mfekayi (ANC), Bonginkosi Sydney Gumede (IFP) and Jerome Themba Mdletshe (Ubumbano Lwesizwe Independent Residence Association).
