BAMBOO is a very special type of grass, which has a predetermined form and size.

Each bamboo stalk, or culm, sprouts from the root system already knowing exactly how many branches it will have, how many leaves will grow on each branch and even the diameter of the stalk. A bamboo stalk will never grow more leaves, nor get bigger or smaller than it started out to become. Bamboo does not need any pesticides or fertilisers to grow and needs very little water. Some are enormous and the largest members of the grass family can grow up to 1m in one day. bs-bamboo.co.uk; bamboocentral.org; bamboo-inspiration.com
