YET another Athletics South Africa board member and joint 400m record holder, Hendrick "The Hammer" Mokganyetsi, has resigned.

Mokganyetsi submitted his letter of resignation to suspended ASA president Leonard Chuene just a few hours before Sascoc's Ray Mali took over the entire administration.

He is the second member after Chris Britz to resign from ASA's board, which has been suspended by Sascoc pending a disciplinary hearing on their handling of the Caster Semenya gender verification tests.

Britz quit last week.

Mokganyetsi, who had also represented South Africa at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and 2004 Athens Olympics, said he decided to call it a day after consulting his family and friends.

He served on the ASA board as a representative of the athletes.
