BAFANA Bafana are out to celebrate the new home jersey for the 2010 World Cup in grand style by winning the friendly against Japan in Port Elizabeth on Saturday at 3.30pm.

The two sides meet at the new Nelson Mandela Sports Complex with reappointed Bafana Bafana coach Carlos Alberto Parreira back on the bench again after 17 months.

Speaking in Johannesburg at Adidas's unveiling of the new jersey, Bafana captain Aaron "Mbazo" Mokoena said they needed a win to get their World Cup preparations back on track.

"It's a beautiful jersey and we are quite comfortable in it. We are excited that we were involved in the process when they were designing it. They made 21 different (designs) that we had to chose from.

"We will be wearing it on Saturday against Japan and cannot afford to disrupt the celebrations."

Left-back Tsepo Masilela, who returned from Israel yesterday, is equally confident of a win against the joint 2002 World Cup hosts.

"We are looking forward to playing with the new jersey. I urge the fans to come in large numbers to be with us when we celebrate this new jersey. I can't wait to wear it and I want to win our first match wearing this new kit," Masilela said.

Safa president Kirsten Nematandani commended the German sportswear company for involving his federation in the design of the new jersey.

Adidas representative Mike Ntombela said the Bafana Bafana replica jersey was already on sale nationwide at sportswear shops at R599, with a T-shirt that is similar to the jersey selling for R345.
