The World Cup takes place in Germany in July, just after the 2010 Fifa men's World Cup.
The team is a completely new and inexperienced one, apart from three Banyana Banyana players: Chantelle Esau, Lerato Kgasago and Busisiwe Ndimeni.
With Safa having advertised the position of coach for the squad, Banyana coach August Makalakalane is the side's interim coach.
Team manager Fran Hilton-Smith said some players were already in camp at the High Performance Centre in Tshwane.
"We have never played Reunion before, and therefore need to prepare quite thoroughly," Hilton-Smith said yesterday.
