We need to revisit our traditional way of living

MORAL degeneration is one of the biggest challenges facing us and is at the core of many of the ills in our society.

I find it disturbing that young people are in and out of jail for offences ranging from possession of unlicensed firearms, driving without a licence, housebreaking and rape.

The disregard for the value of human life and property, lack of respect and compassion, illegal self-enrichment through dodgy means has seriously plunged our country into disarray.

Trying to justify this moral decay is another serious cause for concern.

We need to seriously revisit our traditional ways of upbringing where older people led by example and young people followed.
