PRESIDENT Jacob Zuma and senior ANC leaders visited Mpumalanga yesterday to demand explanations on a range of service delivery issues.

Zuma also wanted to know about the provincial government's failure to rebuild two schools that were demolished to make way for the 2010 soccer stadium.

Ruling party top brass, including Deputy President Kgalema Motlante, were locked in a seven-hour grilling with the provincial executive committee at Nutting House Lodge in Nelspruit.

In 2007 John Mdluli Primary and Cyril Clarke high were demolished to make way for the recently completed 2010 Mbombela Stadium.
