Welgevonden is a stunning private reserve comprising some 47000ha of temperate savannah bushveld well-stocked with game including the proverbial "Big Five".
Several rivers bisect the area that has been declared an international biosphere. The reserve lies four hours north of Johannesburg, or just under an hour's flying time from OR Tambo Airport.
