Free State police spokesperson Puleng Motsoeneng said the girl, 13, from Khotsong near Bothaville, was walking around her neighbourhood after school last Monday asking for old magazines when the man approached her.
He told the girl he had old magazines at his house.
"They walked together to his house and on their arrival the man allegedly raped the girl and threatened to kill her if she ever told anyone about the incident."
On Thursday, he saw the girl again and told her to accompany him to his house where he raped her again. - Sapa
