BRAVO Mamelodi Sundowns for calling on the Premier Soccer League to rethink its decision to seek legal opinion on the SA Football Association's elections.

We concur with Downs that the PSL's behaviour might create "a perception of instability and uncertainty".

Though the club's motion was defeated it is encouraging and commendable that an important club such as Sundowns stood up for what it believed was in the best interest of football in the country.

Unless the PSL explains to us what it is that they find so objectionable about having the leadership that has been elected, we are forced to conclude that the professional clubs body is being unnecessarily obstructionist and ego-driven.

Their aggressive inclinations are not serving them or the game in any way.
