Big eviction bash thrown for Quinn and Kristal

THE latest Big Brother Africa housemates evicted from the competition got together the next day and partied with relatives and fans in Johannesburg.

South African Quinn and Kristal, from Zimbabwe, were evicted from the reality show on Sunday.

Television channel M-Net threw a party for them at the Don Suite hotel in Illovo on Monday night.

Singer and television presenter Stone graced the party with his presence and performed for the small crowd.

Kristal's mother Beverly Culverwell showed the younger party animals how it is done on the dance floor when she danced her heart out to old school hits dished out by the DJ.

Culverwell said she had told her daughter to go and enjoy the competition even if she might not win.

"I told her to be honest with herself if the stress takes toll, and leave.

"Winning would have been a bonus, but I'm happy she participated in the competition," Culverwell said.

Quinn, a media student, said he was happy to finally be out after 49 days in the house.

"Being in there later felt like one was in a pressure cooker.

"I missed family, friends and simple things such as knowing what the weather would be like, or being able to tell the time," he said.

The 21-year-old said he never thought about entering the competition, but that a friend "dragged" him to the auditions for the show.

"My friend did not make it through and I did. Big Brother is an experience I will not forget," he said.

Krystal, 26, a paramedics student, said she was looking forward to going back to Zimbabwe and continuing with her life.
