IRAQI medical and security officials say the death toll in the country's worst bombings of the year has risen to 136.

The powerful suicide bomb blasts went off less than a minute apart yesterday in parking lots near the headquarters of the Baghdad provincial administration and justice ministry.

Nearly 600 people were injured, overwhelming emergency responders who turned to civilian cars to transport the casualties to hospitals across the capital.
