Police say they suspect the three, all from Pakistan, were part of a syndicate that defrauded companies of millions of rands.
Hawks spokesperson Musa Zondi said police were also investigating the possibility that the syndicate was working with someone at the Receiver of Revenue and at Companies and Intellectual Property Registration Office.
