ILSE Klink is in love with musicals and is on her third already, having just landed a spot in the internationally acclaimed Mamma Mia.

Scheduled to start its run in South Africa next August, Mamma Miahas attracted a host of local talent, Klink being one of them.

Currently on the small screen as Natasha, the troublemaker in 7de Laan on SABC 2, Klink believes it is not coincidental that she has featured in most international shows that come to Mzansi.

Born in Cape Town, Klink has done international musicals such as Rent, Chicago and Full Monty.

"I have been fortunate to have acted in most international musical shows because people just love my work," she says.

Though Mamma Mia has already been seen by more than 40million people worldwide, Klink feels South Africans will be dazzled by local actors.

"It's a fun and interesting show. I cannot wait to start rehearsals."

Klink, a singer of note, was introduced to television viewers as Vanessa Booysens in Isidingo. She was with the soapie until 2004.

Mamma Mia is based on the songs of successful Swedish pop group Abba. The group was formed in 1970.
